The Rog Cycling Club is entering a new era of women's cycling with the establishment of the Pika Team. Led by Slovenia's best cyclist Urška Žigart, a professional cyclist with the AG Insurance Soudal KD Rog team, it is opening its doors to a new generation of young female cyclists, thereby laying the foundations for equality and recognition in women's sport.
The Pika Team's children's, youth, and adult teams will consist of 40 cyclists aged 12 to 23, who will train and develop following the example of their "sister" team, the Pogi Team. Tadej Pogačar and Urška Žigart, the world's most famous cycling couple, are ambassadors for young cyclists. With their dedication, example, and financial support, they ensure excellent training conditions, competitive equipment, and access to the best coaches. Both are an inspiration to young athletes not only because of their cycling successes, but also because of the values they convey to younger generations through their work and lives.
The Pika Team is unique in its pioneering approach to the development of women's cycling. With free access to equipment and training, and the first female coaches in Slovenia, KD Rog encourages young female cyclists to follow their dreams and work together to shape the future of cycling. The team focuses on more than just results—it's about developing talent, creating a community, and paving the way for young female cyclists to participate equally in the world of cycling. The spotlight will be on stories such as that of Urška Žigart, who will use her knowledge, experience, and passion to oversee the development of her protégés.

Invitation for girls who love cycling
Do you like cycling? Are you between 11 and 25 years old? Are you tempted to take a step forward, meet new friends, and train in a supportive environment? At Pika Team, we welcome all girls who love cycling! At our open day, you will be able to get to know our world up close.
At the event, you will have the opportunity to:
- try out the cycling track,
- take a test drive on the road accompanied by a trainer,
- learn about our coaching approach,
- take a look at the association's premises and gym,
- learn more about training sessions and programs for different ages.
The open day is intended for all girls—beginners and those who already train—who want to learn more about cycling and what training looks like in the Pika Team development environment.
We believe in support, friendship, courage, and the joy of movement. Our goal is to create an environment where girls grow as athletes and as confident young individuals.
